4th Fix

[technohippie]

[Quinn Hatch is, by nature, a people person. A party person. Mayfield is way too quiet and boring for his tastes, not to mention that he's a bit lonely and homesick. Working as a teacher has kept him busier than he thought it would, and the daily grind tough on him. Today though, he's calling out to chillax! You may find him:

1. Working in his garage on Brady Lane. From within, his regained laptop and stereo system are set up and are positively BLARING music at a drone-unacceptable level. He looks quite content though, working on something in there with some newly-acquired tools. The music is all different kinds - rock, metal, dance, rap, Quinn listens to it all. Come rock out/find out what he's doing/complain?

2. Later in the evening at the tavern. He doesn't want to drink alone, and you look like a good-looking friendly stranger! Look out, because he's sitting down next to you. If you're nice enough he might even buy you a drink.

3. Later that evening, stealing car parts. That might be your car he's harvesting. Whoops! He was meaning to get drones' cars, but who can tell in the dark, or after you've had a few too many. Double-whoops. But as far as he knows, it's the best and really only way to collect what he needs to build things.

[ A very tall woman stumbles over from her spot on some nearby grass, where she was just cloud-gazing, until being rudely awoken by the noise! ]

Hey! I'm tryin' to sleep here! Why's it so loud?!

[He blinks at you for a moment, then taps a button on the laptop, cutting the music off.]

Oh yeah? Sorry man. I thought most people in this town would be up and about by 1:00. [He shrugs. It's a sarcastic reply, he's being honest.]

I dunno, I feel like it helps me forget I'm stuck in this miserable town. Crankin' up the tunes like that I mean.

Well, this town is pretty stressful! Naps keep me going, y'know?

So you drift off somewhere, you mean, like a cloud? Aha, that's a bit better...

Naps are always a help. But I got some work ta do, ya know? Tryin' to fortify this house for when any more craziness happens. Wanna make sure we're all snug as bugs in here.

Work...hard at work? Eh, gross. I do enough of that back home. I sure hope there's no more craziness here, not after hiding in my house for days.

I ain't exactly thrilled about havin' to do all this work on top of havin' an actual job here, so that's why I skipped today. But buildin' stuff is relaxin' for me too, so I'm havin' fun at least.

Mayfield seems to think it's to teach calculus. Talk about a drag. But really I'm a technomancer! I guess that's not really a job, but it's what I do. People hire me for my powers, and I do all kindsa work for my family.

Yuck, maths...I never understood that stuff. I don't really understand what a technomancer is either, but alright~ You get hired? Is it easy?

It's easy but it ain't fun, that's for sure.

Don't have technomancers where you're from either? Geez, I know we're rare and all... yeah, I can talk to machines and computers. It's a pretty rare ability so I find a lot of people who need my help!

Nah, I never get too bothered with asking spirits about their jobs unless they're real interestin'. I'm not too used to computers, though. I don't hang around technology much.

It's totally the same thing, day after day. But still, it's loads different from being here. This place, I thought it was relaxing at first and not too bad, even if it was weird with the no death thing. But then all that stuff happened.
