[Quinn knows he can't hide in Cyuss's house forever. Eventually, he has to go back to work or he'll get droned into doing it, which is the last thing he wants to happen, next to being brutally murdered like most of the town has been. Luckily, he didn't get a letter, but that doesn't make him feel much better. He knows that friends of his out there are dead or going crazy and there's nothing he can do about it.

Quinn manages to drag himself to school, and seeing a meager amount of non-drones amongst the staff and classes, he's not sure what to do.]

Um. Let's just call this a free study period, okay? Just take it easy.

So... How is everyone holding up?

[On the way home, he'll be make a quick stop for food and cigarettes. He'll be walking hastily back to Cyuss's house, but you're free to stop him along the way.]

That's true, but try, at least. Have you thought about getting some sleeping pills, if nothing else? If it helps any...

[She gives a small nod.] I'm okay, and so is the rest of my assigned family. I'm a bit uneasy leaving them by themselves right now, but we have been taking turns to come to school and work anyway to avoid droning. Mm, we don't know for sure if that'll happen, but I can't afford to risk it right now. ...You didn't receive a letter, did you?

Thanks, but I'd rather be alert is somethin' bad happens, ya know? I'm already havin' to be babysat by a friend of mine, I don't wanna cause any more problems.

That's true, it's best to be prepared with everything these days. [She offers a small and sympathetic smile.] It's good to stay with friends, though; there is strength in numbers, so it's a better way to stay safe.

She nods, looking a bit sheepish and helpless.] I did, but nothing has happened to me, and it's been a few days. So I think things should be okay, but I can also take care of myself.

I know, and I also have people to look after. Well, it'll be their mistake if they underestimate me too, so please don't worry and focus on yourself. [She sounds calm and confident despite the topic and its implications.] At least try to eat and sleep properly; I'm sure that things will calm down soon, so please hang in there until then.

Yes, definitely. School will also be out soon, so there's only a little bit more left to go. Hang in there! [It's the most that she can do, but hopefully, a boost in morale will still somehow help.]
